Feeling Hot Hot Hot! Dealing with Heatwaves in Southern Adelaide

  • Marion Cultural Centre (map)

Feeling the heat this summer?

As our climate warms, heatwaves are getting hotter, longer and more frequent.

Heatwaves kill more people than any other natural disaster including floods, cyclones or bushfires. They also cause serious damage to our health, ecosystems, agriculture, businesses, infrastructure and communities.

Fortunately there are things we can do to prepare and respond.

Join well known media identity, Amanda Blair, as she guides a panel of experts through a hypothetical extended heatwave.

You will learn about the challenges posed by heatwaves in southern Adelaide as well as practical actions that can be taken to manage your risks.
